Editing Day 7

We managed to finish all the editing in the previous lesson so all we have left to do is add the "Ghetto Love" title that we made and the credits. After doing this, we asked Ms Slevin to watch our film and to our delight, she was quite pleased.

Editing Day 6

After adding the soundtrack and having the film almost finished, we watched over the tape and realised that we had to fix some of the lighting in some scenes. We did this using colour corrector.
We also had to fix the volume of the soundtrack. There were some scenes where we needed to hear the character's dialogue so we had to adjust the vloume.
The volume of the soundtrack varies throughout the film (it is quite loud when there is no dialogue but then it goes down when the characters speak).
We then went onto making our "Ghetto Love" title using LiveType. We chose to add a fire effect to the font to reflect the danger of both T.J's relationship with Sarah but also the feud between the gangs that is about to take over once again.

Editing Day 5

In today's lesson we decided to work on our soundtrack.
This took us a long time as we wanted a beat that started off really soft and romantic but then dropped to a Ghetto, rough beat. We managed to finish the track and added it to the film.

Editing Day 4

We look back over what we edited last lesson and realised that the film did not all make sense so we asked Ms Slevin and Ms George to watch and they said that we had to add more to it in order for the audience to understand. We decide to film a bit more to help the audience understand how the two main characters first met. We filmed Rahil (T.J) coming out of prison and Genc (T.J's friend) waiting for him outside with Tatiana (Sarah) tayba (Sarah's best friend). This would help the story make more sense. We came back after filming and added this to the film, this helped a great deal although it also meant more editing.

Editing Day 3

As we had luckily managed to capture everything on the previous lesson, we could finally get going with the editing.
First we watched the video clips that we captured and dragged the bits that we needed and started putting them in order.
There were some scenes in which there was a lot of background noise and we had to block all that in order to hear the characters speak.
Then, we decided that we were going to make our own soundtrack for the film as we did not find any tracks that we liked. So while hind was putting the clips together i went into Logic Pro and started making the track.
The lesson was over before we knew it but we managed to get a lot done.

Editing Day 2

We had finish all the the filming so we had to capture everything. This took quite a long time as the tape kept freezing.
We decided that we did not want to waste any time so while everything was capturing we started looking for soundtracks we could use. This was hard as we had to find a track that wasn't copyright so there wasn't much to choose from.
When everything was finally captured we started putting bits together on the timeline but unfourtunately that is all we got to do as the capturing took a very long time.
